Our family borda in the Incles Valley
Rural House Borda Martí
Borda Martí is a traditional Andorran building dating from the 17th century.
Bordas are typical of mountain grazing and agricultural areas and were used to store livestock and grain during the autumn and spring months. They were two-level stone constructions – the lower part for livestock and the upper part as a drying area – and were adapted to the climatic and geographical conditions of mountainous regions.
Currently, Andorran bordas hold high historical and cultural value, and you are about to enjoy the opportunity to sleep in one, surrounded by details and objects of great sentimental value to our family.
During the winter season, the final stretch of the access road to the house may be closed due to snow and/or ice. In this case, you will need to leave your car in the car park at the entrance to the Incles Valley and walk the last stretch (approximately one kilometre, about 10-15 minutes walking on snow).
